One Project infiltrates Adventist Church

"We are often asked to explain the secret of the One project’s success." https://boulder.church/the1project

SO HERE IT IS:  THEIR SPECIAL SECRET

"I was standing there admiring myself."

WHEN LOVE CAME KNOCKING

"In the reflection of the mirror, there he was -- a man!!"

ONE PROJECT DREAM COMES TRUE

"He was cut, ripped, buff, ready to go."

TURNING UP THE TEMPERATURE

"Our eyes locked, and neither one of us could look away.  We just stood there, staring at one another."  (One Project Founder Alex Bryan, ...to Be Continued: Acts 8:9-25 Sermon, Walla Walla University Church, 24 Feb 2018, Minute 55)

THEN NATURE TOOK IT'S COURSE

"The temptation sometimes is to focus on the tangible results": https://boulder.church/the1project
"My brother, I've been to your house. I've had the dirty bird". (One Project Co-founder Tim Gillespie, The Heresy Response Sermon, One Project 6 Gathering, http://vimeo.com/71480214 minute 14)(see at left)

AND THIS IS ALL BIBLICAL?

"What goes into someone's mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them." (Matthew 15:11 NIV, Holy Bible)

One Project theologian Clifford Goldstein is at the General Conference, where he's launched a special ministry to young men:  "I loved Leaves of Grass" (Clifford Goldstein, It is so, Adventist Review, 16 Jan 2014), "which celebrates the soul through the trope of fellatio: ‘Loafe with me on the grass, loose the stop from your throat, / … Only the lull I like, the hum of your valved voice’. Leaves of Grass, the title Whitman gave his collected poems, pivots upon this dalliance with a young man in the grass".  (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Allied Resource Office, Walt Whitman, University of Illinois Springfield)

"Clifford R. Goldstein (b. in 1955) is an American author and editor. He is a leading figure in the Seventh-day Adventist denomination and espouses mainline Adventist beliefs" (Clifford Goldstein, Wikipedia):

"I’m sure Jesus looks approvingly on ‘loving, monoganamous, and committed’ homosexual sodomy". (Clifford Goldstein, reference)

WITH BACKUP FROM THE SDA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

"We should protect the rights of homosexual persons". (Roy Gane, Tuesday Choice: The Old Testament and Homosexuality, Andrews University, 5 Mar 2013, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6KGuJr7jLY, minute 22)(see graphic at right)

Even the Adventist Forum and La Sierra have come out recently.  (see graphic at left)

AVANT GARDE

"We are grateful to our fellow pastors, who used their own personal resources and circles of influence— against the counsel of many—to preach, attend, and bring others to gatherings. At times, they risked their own futures and reputations." https://boulder.church/the1project

EXAMPLE:  ONE PROJECT FELLOWSHIP IN PHOENIX BOLDLY COMES OUT

"I had a sweet time in Sebastapol, California, while I was in college, with a man".  (Joe Martin, The Line in the Sand, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVegdtrTDjI minute 7)

Which hasn't hurt attendance at his chapel one bit.

A SAFE PLACE FOR THE RAINBOW COMMUNITY

"We are grateful to the core inner circle of visionary leaders whose patience and counsel provided safe places". https://boulder.church/the1project Rosemarie and Carly (at right) drive up to the sanctuary in their fully tricked out pride truck, and think that One Project theology rocks.

"We are grateful to the creatives in our Church who relentlessly gave their energy to shaping the look and feel of the gatherings, and took countless photographs that we will treasure forever." https://boulder.church/the1project (see  at right and at left)

We've  seen One Project theology coming out of places like Walla Walla, Andrews, and the General Conference.

And we've seen how the One Project been eagerly received at Shenandoah Valley Academy and Phoenix.

So if your gay friends are interested in the Sabbath, but need an affirming environment, invite them to the next One Project Gathering.
